Autumn Period: from September to November

Weather Conditions: Firmly clear skies; very little if any rainfall.

Sights: Undisturbed spectacular views of the Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Machhapuchhre, Lamjung Himal and Dhaulagiri ranges.

Temperature: Comfortable during the day, at 10°-20°C; cool during nighttime, at 0°-10°C.

Trail Conditions: Dry and stable, good for trekking.

Spring (March to May)

Weather: Pleasant and moderate temperatures.

Flora: Rhododendrons are seen at their best, filling the trail with vibrant colors.

Views: The views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, Manaslu and Ganesh Himal from the top are great during this time of the year; however, the latter part of the spring might have some haze develop.

Temperature: Like autumn, daylight temps stand around 10–20°C and night dipping up to 0–10°C.

Other Seasons

Winter (December to February): It's crystal clear but extremely cold, especially at night. Snow on the trails makes trekking littel tougher but still okay for those who can enjoy the wind nature of winter.

Monsoon (June to August): Heavy rainfall can make the trails slippery, and views may be obstructed by clouds. In addition, leech infestations occur during this time. It is not recommended doing Muldai Hill Trek in monsoon months.

If you want to donate the blood to local leeches and enjoy the rainfall during the hike, can go for Muldia Hill Trek. No objection at all.

The best time for trekking is early autumn-about October-or early spring-approximately April-when the weather is warm but not hot, the skies are clear of clouds, mountain views are breathtaking and the temperatures are bearable.

If the monsoon prolongs, then, the month of November will be the best month for Muldai Hill Trek.

However, Muldai Hill Trek can even be done in Winter months: December, January and Februrary with good level of preparations, professional team and realiable trekking equipment.

Food and Accommodation in Muldai Hill Trek

Meals generally come in traditional Nepali and Tibetan dishes, with a few international options available. Dal Bhat-rice, lentil soup, and vegetable curry-is the staple and trekkers' favorite because it's nutritious and refills as many times as one wants. Other popular delicacies are momos-dumplings, noodle soup, Tibetan bread, and fried rice. For breakfast, pancakes, porridge, and eggs are commonly served.

Of course, there's tea to try-so strong in masala or ginger, for warmth and energy in the chill mountain air.

While food options might be limited in the remote areas, heartily and freshly prepared meals make up for this deficiency.
