Who are the Sherpa’s of Everest and their origin?


The Sherpa’s are the highlanders of Everest and Eastern Himalayas of Nepal, the
Sherpa’s are of Tibetan origin. The name Sherpa means people from the East, as they drifted and migrated to Nepal more than 600 years; from Southern parts of Tibet. At present Sherpa menfolk are known as famous natural mountaineers and mountain guides. The first summiteer on top of Mt. Everest was late Tenzing Norgay Sherpa who hails from Thame west of Namche Bazaar. The Sherpa follows Buddhism religion and cultures similar to their Tibetan predecessors. 

Why not we have extra day in Namche Bazaar?


As this trek itinerary is designed to be short and easy, so all interested people can enjoy, being close to Everest in a limited duration of time of a week from arrival to final departure. The next day from Namche Bazaar does not make much difference in altitude or acclimatization as you will have a short exercise walking a few hundred above Namche Bazaar.  The next day after Heli flight to Everest base camp, and back at Lukla at a safe altitude.

How many people can Helicopter accommodates:

Maximum of 5 passengers, in some situation if the group is above 5 to 10 pax, needs to shuttle the passengers. The Helicopter makes a round trip ferrying the passengers from near base camp to Syangboche and Lukla and back.

This is why on this type of high altitude flight there is only one pilot to fly the Helicopter to make rooms for more passengers. As well to make the Helicopter engine lighter which is important on high areas of Himalayas.

Do all lodges provides electricity and internet or Wi-Fi?

All lodges do have facilities of electricity either run by local hydro plant or with solar power. At present nearly all overnight places in lodges do have internet and Wi-Fi services, in some places can be quite slow and disturbing depending upon the areas and weather wise. Where all clients’ needs to pay extra for charging each electronic items. As for internet services it’s free in some places, and other lodge might charge extra, where you can learn from your guide about the cost.

How are the foods and accommodation on treks?

Trekkers will be surprised with comprehensive food list on the menu, all foods are served healthy and hygienic. One can choose from La Carte to Set Menu which is mainly the common and popular Nepali Dal / Bhat (Rice and lentil soup served with mild veg / meat curry). Trekkers can enjoy continental, Chines, Korean, Italian, and Indian, Tibetan or Sherpa foods also. Some places provides fresh bakery products also. The lodges of various class, from budget, standard to luxury depending upon the trip cost. Most lodges are of simple tourist standard with common toilet and bathrooms. Where one needs to pay extra for using hot showers.

What happens if one get sick on route trekking?


Normally our guide takes care of each clients and taking much precaution regarding the altitude and foods, drinks on treks. However, some might get mild sickness from high altitude or from spicy foods. In case of severe and bad situation the patient is brought down to safe altitude. For very sick people immediate evacuation by any means of fast transportation. The only quickest ways is taking a Helicopter Services to bring the victim back to Kathmandu for treatment in the best hospitals. For this types of incidence if occurs, where all trekkers are informed regarding the Travel and Medical Insurance to cover all the extra expenses incurred on this situation.   

What is Everest Panorama Trek?

Everest Panorama Trek is a short and easy trek up to Everest View Hotel and Khumjung Village located in Everest region. 

Everest Panorama Trek is for those who cannot hike to EBC but still wish to see Everest. They can see Everest from Everest View Hotel and Khumjung Village. You can also see Everest through the pine trees on the way to or back from Namche to Hillary Bridge.  

How long is Everest Panorama Trek?

Everest Panorama Trek is a week long trek from Lukla to Lukla and 8 days from arrival to departure. In a week, trekkers can witness marvelous Everest from the top of Namche Bazaar, Everest View Hotel and Khunjung Village in this Everest Panorama Hike. 

How hard is Everest Panorama Trek?

Panorama Everest Trek is a moderate trek in Everest region. EBC Panorama Trek takes you to Everest View Hotel, Namche Bazaar and classical Khumjung Village. In Khumjung Village, one can have a chance to see skull of Yeti. 

The highest elevation in Everest Panorama Trek is Everest View Hotel which is located at an elvation of 3880m above the sea level. Actaully, the trekking trip below 4000m is considered to be moderate and the average working hours in Everest Panorama Trek is 5-6 and the distance you walk per day is 10 km. 

Even the beginner with good level of fitness and stamina can easily accomplish Everest Panorama Hike with spectacular Everest View.
